Mwiza ZuluAt the age of 19 Mwiza Somanje Zulu has already established herself in the Zambian music industry, this talented young lady was born from the music legendary couple Sista D and Maiko Zulu on 18th November 1999. Mwiza is a second child in a family of two, were she has one elder brother.

She attained primary education at Rising Hope Education Center, junior secondary education at Libala Basic and senior at Libala High school. She is currently in her third year studying Politics and International relations at the University of Lusaka.

Her passion for music was largely inspired by her parents who are both musicians and by her desire to express herself and speak for other people which she believed can be achieved through music.
Mwiza is a very hardworking and self-driven young lady whose efforts have been visible to many. From a young age she worked with various organisations such as The Media Network on Child Rights and Development, Save the Child Zambia, MISA among others. She was also a television and radio presenter on shows like Hot Kids and Teens on Hot FM and Zed Kids Extra on Muvi Tv. Furthermore she wrote for some local newspapers and magazine on issues of women and children’s rights.

In 2014 she was named as one of the 12 women to watch in Southern Africa by Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA), In 2015 she was appointed as Maternal andNeonatal Child Health Ambassador for Save the Children Zambia, that very year she was second run up in the first session of Junior President on ZNBC.

In 2018 she won a Kwacha Music Award for Best Female New Comer and was also nominated in the most conscious song category. Apart from music Mwiza is a women and children’s rights activist and she is the research and documentation Secretary for Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM).
